The GPT AI girlfriend app is a web app, and that is on purpose
There is no store listing, because there is nothing to install. You can still put it on a home screen in two taps — it just opens as a page.

02The detail
Where the app went, and what replaced it
Adult AI companions are not allowed on the major app stores, so the honest options are a web app or a sideloaded file. Only one of those is safe.
Search for a GPT AI girlfriend app and you will find a lot of listings that either do not exist, quietly changed category, or ask you to install an APK from a site you have never heard of. Neither route is worth taking: sideloaded adult apps are the most common vector for the kind of software you cannot easily remove. This product runs as a web app instead — the same interface, delivered to a browser, with an optional home-screen shortcut if you want the icon.
The shortcut is worth doing. On iOS it is Share then Add to Home Screen; on Android it is the browser menu then Install app or Add to home screen. What you get is a tile that opens the panel full-screen without browser chrome, which behaves like an app until you look for it in the app list — where it is not, because it was never installed.
What you give up is the app-store apparatus: no push notifications, no in-app purchase receipt, no automatic update. What you gain is that nothing lands in a purchase history, nothing needs uninstalling, and no permission dialog ever asks for your contacts, camera or microphone.
What works well
- Opens full-screen from a home-screen tile if you want one
- No store listing, no download, no APK from a stranger
- Never appears in an app list or a purchase history
- Updates arrive the moment you reload — no version to chase
- Zero permissions requested: no contacts, camera or mic
Worth knowing first
- No push notifications, so nothing pings you
- Needs a connection every time — nothing runs offline
- A home-screen tile is visible to anyone holding the phone
- Fictional characters only, adults 18+

How the panel reads on a phone-sized screen
Same roster, same modes, laid out for one thumb. These three are the ones people keep pinned.

Mira suits short bursts, which is what a phone conversation actually is.

Isolde is better on the pinned tile — a scene picked up over several evenings.

Kes is the low-effort option when you have three minutes in a queue.
04In practice
Two taps to a home screen, no installer anywhere
Open the site, tap the browser's share or menu button, choose Add to Home Screen, and the tile appears with the panel's mark on it. Tapping it launches full-screen with no address bar, which is the only visual difference between this and an installed app. Delete the tile and the trace is gone — there is nothing to uninstall, because nothing was ever written into the system.
Because the thread lives on the server, the tile is a shortcut rather than a container. Open the same address on a laptop later and the conversation is exactly where the phone left it, including the mode. Nothing needs exporting and nothing gets duplicated.

Open it once, pin it if you like it
Confirm you are 18 and the panel opens in the browser you already have. Add the tile in two taps, or do not — the conversation is the same either way.
